Angels & Monsters big toddle report

On Thursday 18th June our Angels and Monsters took part in the Barnardos Big Toddle to help raise funds for disadvantaged children. The area next to the church was decorated with pirate bunting and flags and an assault course was set out for the children to get rid of some of their energy!

The children were invited to dress as pirates and had made pirate hats at toddlers the previous week.
Even some of the adults were brave and dressed up!
The morning started with children being able to colour in pirate pictures and then listening to Big Todd’s Pirate Adventure. Next it was outside for a group photo and then 20 children ranging from 10 months to rising 5’s spent their time running, climbing, crawling ,throwing and kicking through all sorts of obstacles including ‘walking the plank’.
Refreshments were served in the hall and then it was more outdoor play. We finished with a singing session and then all the children received a medal, sticker and certificate.
The weather could have been better – it was very windy and chilly – but a great time was had by all!
