Festival of prayer: 15th-22nd January

When Jesus taught His disciples to pray, He invited them into a powerful place of partnership in bringing heaven to earth:

Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, On Earth as it is in Heaven

As we step into the New Year, both individually and as a Church, we seek to align ourselves with that heart cry to our Father, agreeing,
believing, declaring, praying, singing and living:

Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, On Earth as it is in Heaven

We invite you to commit this week to the LORD and to set aside extra time for prayer and worship, attending the gathering points of prayer when you can.  YOUR prayers are powerful and YOUR prayers matter!

Prayer and fasting is a powerful lifestyle choice for all believers and we encourage you to prayerfully consider a form of fasting throughout the week. Try fasting the whole week in one way or another (mix it up with various types).  Everyone can fast something, even kids – talk to them about what we are doing and encourage them to fast something (computer games, TV, sweets, chocolate,
social media sites and internet are recommended options). If you are fasting food for the day, remember to drink plenty of water. Here is some food for thought:

Total food fast (no food at all), Daniel fast (no rich foods, just vegetables and water), Juice fast (fruit and vegetable juice only)

Social media fast (no Facebook, Twitter or internet outside of work!), TV and movie fast and more…what about chocolate and cakes!
