@theChanterelles and Old Mill School Choir hit all the right notes

The Chanterelles and Old Mill School Choir hitting all the right notes, and in the right order, in concert on 1st February 2015 at Sutton Elms Baptist Church, Broughton Astley.

The award winning Chanterelle’s items ranged from religious (Sanctus and Gloria) through classical to folk songs.  Old Mill School choir sang four of their favourite items. The church was packed to the rafters.

Everyone really enjoyed the event. Nearly 200 people came to listen; the varied programme also including Holst’s Hymn of the Travellers, Madrigals by Thomas Weelkes and an arrangement of the English folk song Oh Soldier Soldier (will you marry me) which was a real hit with the audience.
