Last Sunday evening we attended a united service at St Mary’s. There were also people there from the Living Rock Church and from St Pius X Roman Catholic Church, Narborough. Vic, a retired Anglican minister preached on Paul’s conversion. He reminded us of the simple call of Jesus to follow him and that those who answered that call would have to take up their cross.
Some of the prayers reminded us of the call to holiness, praying:
“May the life-giving Spirit
breathe into us that our thoughts may be holy,
act in us so that our work is holy,
draw our hearts so that we love what is holy,
strengthen us that we will defend what is holy.”
