Your giving enables everything we do in the life of the Church and wider community.
Giving
We don't tend to talk very much about money as a church. It can be off-putting for visitors, and we never want people to feel under pressure. However, giving is an important part of discipleship, and we do believe in being a generous church, giving cheerfully to the needs around us. Simply put, giving is part of our community life together.
What is gift aid? If you are a UK taxpayer, as a registered charity, Sutton Elms is able to reclaim a further 25% of the value of your gift, helping your giving and the work of the Church to go even further.
In person
There is an opportunity to give to the work of the Church in our services using cash or cheques via a basket at the back or in the ‘Brick in the Wall’. Cheques should be made payable to ‘Sutton in the Elms Baptist Church’.
You can also drop donations off via the office.
Bank Transfer
You can set up a standing order or one-off payment using the following account details:
Account Name: Sutton in the Elms Baptist Church
Sort Code: 09-01-54 | Account No: 52898706
For Gift Aid purposes, if you could please include your gift aid/envelope number if you have one in the reference box, this will help us in claiming back the tax.
Alternatively, you can contact our treasurer for a gift aid form at treasurer@suttonelms.co.uk
If you would like to donate towards the redevelopment project please note this in the reference box.
Brick in the wall
Small change makes a big difference. For the past few years, as part of our redevelopment fundraising, we have been encouraging our kids and adults to bring their small change (1p’s, 2p’s, pound coins, banknotes… and the odd washer nut!) to see if they could raise a brick on our ‘brick in the wall scales’ at the front of church… and most weeks we raised it!
If you have any small change, would you consider saving it to see if it can raise a brick in support of the redevelopment project which will provide improved facilities and activities for the wider community?
When you're ready to drop it off, you can contact office@suttonelms.co.uk to arrange a suitable time or to bring it to one of our outdoor services where you can see the brick being raised.
Small change really does make a huge difference!
If you have a query relating to your giving, please email treasurer@suttonelms.co.uk
